SYNERGY magazine features Black women in Juneteenth edition

My passion for storytelling has taken me to places I never knew existed.

In June, it took me to a milestone in my career that I will forever cherish.

Gainesville Black Professionals (GBP)
hosted its SYNERGY magazine Juneteenth edition unveiling event on Tuesday, June 15, 2021 at the Historic Thomas Center.

Dozens of people gathered at the venue to witness the fourth publication of the magazine which is one of the event’s that partnered with the city of Gainesville for its month-long ’Journey To Juneteenth’ celebration.

According to its website, GBP was founded in 2016 with a mission to increase communication, collaboration and networking between professionals, entrepreneurs and business owners in order to create profitable partnerships and business ventures.

Over 40 women were featured in the edition detailing their journey, obstacles, and successes.

I was overjoyed to know that I was selected as one of the many phenomenal women in the community to be featured in the magazine!

It was the first time I was featured in a magazine and it is one of my greatest accomplishments I have received.

To be recognized by the community for my work is heart-warming.

I truly love being a storyteller for the community and I do my best to make sure our stories are told.

I am so grateful for this moment.

Thank you Gainesville for welcoming me with open arms to share your stories!

It is a privilege and an honor to be a storyteller and a journalist.

Thank you to GBP founder Virginia Grant for your vision!

Congratulations to all the amazing women who were featured in the magazine!
